In February 2023, we had to say goodbye to Julio Sical. Julio was the beating heart of Dsical Travel + Events, and we miss him every day.

Julio was born in Guatemala, but grew up in Los Angeles. He was always an exceptional runner and athlete. His first, and most important, coach in life was his father JC. JC taught him how to channel his energy into sports. Julio went on to study architecture at University of Colorado Boulder, and discovered his passion for building and creating new things.

 Julio joined our family business in 2007, and was always our champion, pushing us all out of our comfort zones and encouraging us to dream bigger. We were able to travel the globe, provide world class experiences to our clients, and achieve more than we ever dreamed was possible.

 

Julio was a dedicated athlete, devoted son, cherished brother and nephew, beloved husband, and the world’s best daddy. He left this world exactly as he always existed in it: as a hero, protecting those he loved.

 

Our family is holding each other extra tight during this time of unfathomable loss and heartbreak. We mourn his loss by honoring the things that Julio valued the most: family, honor, excellence, and striving to be the best version of ourselves.
